LANDSCAPES OF PAIN
12 MAY, 2007 / 22:00 - 24:00 / 1 MARKT, GOUDA
This program of films, projected outdoors in the central market in Gouda, tear the landscape painting to shreds and put it in a blender with some raw fish and then feed it to polar bears. We are tourists to a shipyard in India where workers are paid less than a euro per day to recycle toxic materials from the west, a mass grave in Serbia, the site of an American indian massacre in California, the deck of a Icelandic whaling ship, and the flat of a Polish family that migrated to Holland.
List of films:
- MY SHIP HAS ARRIVED (Rajiv Sharma, India)
- PUSHING UP DAISIES (Ian Clarke, UK)
- TECOPA (Julian H. Scaff, USA/Netherlands)
- THE KILLING (De Minderheidsgroep, Netherlands)
- NICHT OM POEP (Carline Brinkerhoff)
